LGR stands for Low Grain Refrigerant. An LGR dehumidifier pre-cools incoming air so it can pull moisture out of the air even when humidity is already low, which is exactly what is needed in the later stages of structural drying. All Thorair Pro dehumidifiers use LGR technology with R410A refrigerant.
The litre rating is the amount of water the unit can remove from the air per day under test conditions. The 50L is the compact, stackable choice for domestic rooms and vans short on space. The 70L suits larger rooms and light commercial work. The 90L is the highest-capacity unit for large floods, commercial and construction drying. Most restoration companies carry a mix.
The Thorair Hulk moves 1000 CFM and covers larger areas, while the Pro HEPA Filter Air Scrubber moves 500 CFM but is far more compact and stackable. The Pro weighs 17.5 kg compared with 36 kg for the Hulk. Both use G4 pre-filters with H13 HEPA main filters rated at 99.97% efficiency at 0.3 microns.
Yes. Thorair dehumidifiers, air scrubbers and carpet blowers are SAA and ASA certified in accordance with Australian electrical requirements, which is what insurers and site managers typically ask for.
Yes. The 50L and 90L dehumidifiers are stackable and sit on wheels with retractable handles. The Pro air scrubber and square and turtle carpet blowers are also designed to stack, so you can fit more drying power in the truck.
Thorair offers a full replacement warranty for the first year and replacement of parts for the second year on dehumidifiers, air blowers and air scrubbers. To make a claim, email info@thorair.com.au with your invoice details and a description of the fault. Please do not open or tamper with the machine, as this voids the warranty. Only the original purchaser can claim.
Orders placed before 2pm AEST are dispatched the same business day. Orders after 2pm are dispatched the next business day. We ship Australia-wide and shipping is calculated at checkout.
Yes. Restoration companies, hire fleets and resellers can purchase in bulk, subject to stock. Call 1300 263 551 to discuss fleet or reseller pricing. You do not need a company or ABN to buy from us.
Floating a floor means placing the blower outlet under the carpet, on top of the underlay, so air dries the carpet and subfloor from underneath. The Thorair snail blower has a clamp that holds the carpet to the outlet, lifting the carpet about 150 mm while it dries.
The HEPA activated carbon filter fits the Thorair Pro HEPA Filter Air Scrubber and captures volatile organic compounds such as soot and smoke, sewer and food odours, and fumes from paint and solvents, in addition to the fine particles trapped by the HEPA media.
